Robert Lee "Bob" Green, 72, of Wake Forest, quietly went home to be with the Lord on November 10,2009 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. The son of Annie Lee McDaniel Green and the late Alonza Green, Mr. Green graduated from Adkin High School in Kinston, NC. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC and a Masters of Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Mr. Green served in the United States Army for four years.

Mr. Green retired from the New York State Dept. of Labor and Job Services in management. After retirement, he became the Chief Executive Officer at Paul J. Cooper Center for Human Services, ( Private Non-Profit Corporation). After retiring from Paul Cooper, Mr. Green moved to Wake Forest, N C to be closer to family. He was active with Association of Black Social Workers, Adelphi University Alumni Association and the N.A.A.C.P.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 o'clock Monday Morning, November 16, 2009 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Entombment was in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
