Leicester - Leona Elsie "Nanny" Norton Buckner, 87, went to be with her Lord Sunday, December 19, 2004 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.
A native of Tullahoma, Tennessee. She had resided in Buncombe County most of her life, was a homemaker and member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Mrs. Buckner was a daughter of the late Lee Allison and Mary Frances Metcalf Norton and wife of Howard Glenn Buckner who died in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Don Norton and Lee Norton.
Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
