He had been under doctor`s care at the hospital for about two years_ He was baptized and confirmed at Roseni Lutheran church, where he had been a lifelong member. He was a veteran of World War I. He spent his life on a farm near Spink until 1959 when he moved to Alcester_ The American Legion post and the V.F.W. post of Elk Point had charge of military rites at the graveside. 1 Burial: 30 JUN 1962 Roseni Cemetery, , Union, South Dakota .
