Paw Paw, July 24-Wilfred D. Carr, of Paw Paw, died Saturday in Weston.
He was born in Tucker County, August 4, 1892, son of
John C. and Isabelle White Carr, and attended the Paw Paw Church of Christ.
Mr Carr attended Shepherd college and taught in Whitmer for four years, before coming to Paw Paw 44 years ago to work for the Keystone Tannery. He was retired from the tannery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs Margaret (actually Martha)
Jane Harper Carr, at the home; three sons-Melvin C.Carr, Paw Paw, Lorenze Carr, Baltimore, Md., Ronald Carr, Charles Town,; two daughters, Mrs Dorothy Whitacre, Paw Paw; and
Mrs Evelyn M. Fox Berkeley Springs; one brother Eston Carr, in Florida, one sister; Mrs Goldie Allen, Akron Ohio; eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The body is at the Johnson Funeral Home in Berkley Springs where services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Raymond Jones. Interment will be in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Slanesville.
