Mrs. Laura Houck Shull, 77 years old, widow of Samuel E. Shull, former superintendent of the South Easton Schools, died last night at 6:30 o'clock at her home, 184 Kearney Avenue, Perth Amboy, N.J., after a year's illness. Her husband, at the time of his death on July 9, 1935, was superintendent of the Perth Amboy Schools.
Mrs. Shull was born at Martins Creek, Lower Mt. Bethel Township and was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Amos Houck. She is survived by one son, Dr. Virgil Shull, of Perth Amboy, one daughter, Mrs. Lucretia Tiney, living at home; a brother Stewart L. Houck, of 2126 Freemansburg Avenue, Wilson, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Engler, New Brunswick, N.J., and Mrs. Alice Koehler, of Belleville, N.J.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at her home.
