Pat Harrison Dier was born on September 16, 1936, in Walthall County, Mississippi, and departed this life on July 12, 2023. He was one of twelve siblings to Hezzie and Winnie Dier.
Pat battled cancer for two years and fought it very courageously. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Charlene Dier; second wife Vera Dier; father Hezzie Dier; mother Winnie Brock Dier; brothers Harold "Bud" Dier, Horace "Sam" Dier, Homer Dier, Joe Dier, Junior Dier, and O. F. Dier; sisters Doyle Burch, Orvis "T" Lasey, and Evelyn Freeman.
Survivors include his sons Pat Dier, Jr (Krislee) and Joe Dier (Jennifer); grandchildren Jared Dier, Corey Ansley, Jeffrey Dier, Kadi Gilreath (Hiram) and Jordan Maurin (Alex); brother Paul Dier; sister Edna Mae Robertson; great-grandchild Rosalie Maurin; faithful companion of many years Marion Stroud and her daughters, Denise McCullough and Fran Conway; their children Mason McCullough, Mary Jewell McCullough, Nathan Conway, and Jake Conway; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home at 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Centerville Church Cemetery at Lexie, Mississippi. Reverend Duane Ball will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-876-3712
