William Patrick Tallant was the son of John Lott and Rebecca (Vanderford) Tallant. He was the husband of Anna (Eblen) Tallant. They were married Roane County November 7, 1839. Anna died June 9, 1889.

Burial information:
Shortly after their marriage, William and Anna moved into Hiwassee Purchase - entered a tract of land lying part in Hamilton County and part in Bradley County - home site in Bradley County, Tennessee. Their land lay adjoining that of his father, Lott Tallant. The Tallant Cemetery is located on the Lott Tallant homestead. William and Anna are buried here.
