Everyone on the Hines side of the family called Marcella Aunt "Bott" while the Mahoney nieces and nephews called her Aunt "Marce"-no one seems to know how that nickname"Bott" came about. She was the youngestdaughter of John Mahoney who was born in County Wicklow Ireland and Ellen Fogarty, who was born in Pottsville, Schuylkill County. Marcella was the youngest of the Mahoney children and was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She never married. Her siblings included:
