John William Lynch was the son of George William Lynch and Sarah Elaine Elizabeth Defore/Defoor. He was a grandson of John R. Lynch and Sina Choate who were among the early settlers of the Republic of Texas. John was a quiet man, drank his coffee black, and worked for the railroad (which one is unknown). Always called his granddaughter Wanda "Little Honey Bunch". He died in Ector County Texas and was taken back to Cherokee County to be buried in Meador Cemetery. His daughter Vera Swearingen also died in Ector County, his son Harvey in Cherokee Co, daughter Tommie Bowman (her children buried her under the name of Tommie Martin) in Harris County, his son Lee Boyd in Comanche Co., Oklahoma and his daughter Mildred left Midland in the early 1960s and was never heard from again. She was Mildred Faye Merrill when she left.

Note: My grandfather's first wife was Annie Allman, they married 17 April 1897 in Limestone County, Texas and my mother Vera said she died shortly after their son Clarence was born probably in childbirth. Clarence died young. My grandmother Minnie was his second wife.

Note:
I wish to thank all of you wonderful people who have left a "flower" on my memorials........it means a lot to me.....
