Grandma always had cats and preferred them to be black. She read tea leaves and She grew roses and had her yard in Houston surrounded by them. When she was young she loved to dance. I was blessed to have been around and with her a lot in my early years.
Note: Martha A. Brown married James A. Glasco (Glasgow) when he died (when and place unknown) she married a H.W. Perkins 13 January 1896 in Limestone County, Texas. (Texas marriages 1837 - 1973) ......they had a daughter Nettie Perkins I was told, I have been unable to find any record of her......Martha may have been buried in the McKenzie Cemetery in Limestone County, Texas......my grandmother said her mother died on September 24, 1899 on my grandmother's 18th birthday..........Note: However that would make Martha's date of death Sept. 24, 1900
I want to thank all of you wonderful people who have left a "flower" on my memorials. It has meant a lot to me.
