Son of James Samples and Mary Mollie Trosper. He 1st married Elizabeth L. Bearden on Nov. 9, 1906 in Kennett, Dunklin County, Mo. 2nd he married Rendy Casey on Aug. 18, 1923 in Dunklin County, Mo.

November 27, 1955, at the residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, November 30, 1955, from
Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral Home,
2417 S. Saginaw St., Rev. M.W.
Roach officiating. Burial in Evergreen
Cemetery. Body will be at the funeral
home. He was born in Missouri,
February 3, 1882, lived in Flint the last
4 years. Surviving are: 3 sons, Herbert,
Clarence and Connie Samples, all of
Flint; 5 daughters, Mrs. George Campbell,
Mrs. Keith McGraff and Mrs.
Charles Potter, all of flint; Mrs.
Charles Haynes of Caruthersville, Mo.;
Mrs. Bernice Province of Holcomb,
Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grand-
children; 2 brothers, Edgar Samples
of Flint and Henry Samples of
Frisbee, Mo.
