Doyle Wilson Darby of Jackson, passed away at his home Saturday, December 10, 2005, aged 89 years. He was born December 30, 1915 in Sikeston, MO, to Charles and Lena (Ballard) Darby. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis (Losey) Darby; three daughters, Karen Powell, Delores (John) Parker, Linda K. (Michael) Williams; two sons, Rev. Phillip W. (Julie) Fisher, Ronald L. (Kay) Fisher; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Maxine Mann, Lynette Huntley and Lois Oyler. Mr. Darby served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945 in Eastern Africa and Italy. He graduated from Jackson High School; retired after 36 years of service from Clark Equipment Co. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 156 for over 50 years, the Old-Timers Baseball League and Clark Equipment Retirees. He and Phyllis enjoyed wintering in Florida since 1980.
