Harold Rudolf Amberson was born on August 31, 1923 in Elfrida, Arizona to Oscar and Christie (Lovelady) Amberson.

He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Harold married his sweetheart, Bernice Madeline Eddins, on February 10, 1944 in Bisbee. They made their home in Benson.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Benson, their son, Bruce, of Tucson, their daughter, Brenda Rattliff of Dragoon, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters; Audrey Graham of Calimesa, California, and Afton Linn of Marysville, Washington.

Sergeant Amberson was laid to rest at McNeal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Foster Wright, Jeffrey Worrall, Armando Bernal, Tim Vernooy, John Diaz, and Ed Curry.
