Bobby Joe Turner, 75, of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at a local hospital.
Bobby was born on May 19, 1948 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Charles and Nola (Riggs) Turner.
He was an Air Force Veteran, and a retired USDA Food Inspector. Bobby loved fishing and making his own lures, driving his tractor, and traveling with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Deloris Lewis, and brother, Donald "Boots" Gryder.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Mulberry Church of Christ 2304 Keystone Cir, Mulberry, AR 72947 with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 till 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Pallbearers will be Tyler Newman, Brenden Turner, Ryan Montgomery, Jeremy Lewis, Kevin Lewis and David Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dyer, Ralph Watson, Buck English, Wayne Winsted, Dwight Peters, James Millsap, and Ronnie Millsap.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sherry (Smither) Turner of the home; daughter, Tiffany Newman of Mulberry, AR; son, Darrin Turner and his wife Angie of Van Buren, AR; grandchildren, Brenden Turner, Parker Montgomery, Tyler Newman, Meagan Newman; great-grandchildren, Fletcher Montgomery and Finley Montgomery; brother, Charles Turner Jr.; and sister, Charlene Lewis.
