John Fones, aged 82 years, an old resident of the eastern part of the town, died last week and funeral services were held at the family home on Saturday; Rev. W. A. Haven officiating. Burial in Hannibal Center cemetery Mr. Fones is survived by his widow, who is very ill at this writing, and two sons, George of Fulton, and Abie of Hannibal, and two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Peck of Oneida, and Mrs. Bertha Carter of Hannibal, and one brother, Jerome Fones of New Haven.
