QULIN-Chester L. Petty, 72,
a retired farmer of Qulin, died at
5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Doctors
Regional Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1912,
at Bernie and was a lifetime resi-
dent of area. He was married to
Hazel Osborn on Dec. 24, 1931.
She survives. He was a charter
member of Osborn General Bap-
tist Church, a member of the
Qulin School Board for 12 years
and a member of the Board of
Directors of Ozark Border Elec-
tric Cooperative for 15 years. He
was active in Republican Party
politics.
Other survivors include three
daughters, Louise Neil of florissant,
Fran Glastetter of Poplar
Bluff and Dean Davis of DeSoto;
one half-sister, Nettie Penn-
ington of Qulin; six grand-
children and three great-
grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Landess Funeral
Home in Campbell. Burial will
be in Qulin Cemetery. Visitation
will begin at 5 p.m. today at the
funeral home.

Chester L. Petty is the son of the late Jonas Edward "Ed" Petty and Mary Elizabeth Birchfield Petty.
