Sallie Ruth Campbell (Weatherby), age 81, born June 2, 1942, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2023.
"Ruth" was a devoted wife, mother, and great friend to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sallie Ruth (Givens) Weatherby; Father, James Alfred Weatherby; Brother, Mason Weatherby; Sisters, Francis Dunavant, Mary Alexander, Jean Jerrell, and Rose Adcock.
She is survived by her husband, Voyd Nelson "Bud" Campbell; son, Dr. William David Campbell; twin daughters, Cherrie Campbell Manchester, Sherrie Campbell Palmer; sisters, Eva Deal and Freda Bates; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Haas, Haleigh Davis, Denee and Spencer Manchester, Tyler Palmer, Angi Palmer-Manier, Leigha Palmer; and six great grandchildren, Jude and Nora Ruth Haas, Aylah Davis, Campbell Davis, Liam Davis, and Slade Manchester.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 29,2023 at West Harpeth Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee, from 12:00PM-1:00PM with service to follow officiated by her son, Dr. William David Campbell. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Cemetery at 2:30PM.
