It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of wife, mother and grams, Marcia Patrick of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn her family and friends.
Marcia was a whirlwind always on the go, the kind of person that chats you up in the grocery store line. She never met a stranger that didn't become a friend.
She loved to cook for her family and have family get togethers. She would tell stories with you in her kitchen while she made an entire meal.
Marcia was an Executive Assistant at Eli Lilly and a part of the Eli Lilly Golf League. She was at Eli Lilly from age 18 through retirement.
Marcia also belonged to a Bridge Club for more than 50 years.
She continued to play golf into her 80's.
Marcia passed of natural causes and was on her back porch, it was one of her favorite places to be.
She is survived by her husband Larry Patrick children, Tom Massengale, Sherri Massengale, Sally (Terry) Hill, and step-daughter Jennifer (Breinne) Compton; 12 grandchildren;9 great grandchildren; sister Roberta (Mark) Pettigrew.
Her parents were Bob and Hazel Gilman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24th 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Services at 7:00 PM at the Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway Chapel (4925 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46224)
