Catherine was the daughter of the late Rev. S.T. and Catherine (Epler) Walter, and married Glenn W. Elliott on Dec. 25, 1929. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1970.
She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and had attended Kent State Universith and Ashland University.
Fron 1927-28, she had taught school in Tuscarawas County. She had also taught school in Clark in 1929 and fron 1956-67.
She was a member of the Clark Community Presbyterian Church, Holmes Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and was a charter and life member of Clark Grange.
Surviving are children, Catherine Sheely of Killbuck, Richard Glenn Elliott of Canfield and Mary Jane Croskey of Millersburg; grandchildren, Jim (Peg) Sheely of Millersburg, Lynn Sheely of Killbuck, Diane (Jerry) Schonauer of Millersburg, Peggy (Brad) Conn of Killbuck, Rick (Kayleen) Elliott and Robin Riley, both of Millersburg, Rea Ann (Keith) McDonald of Canfield, Rhonda Williams of Silverlake, Ore., Veronica Sue Croskey of Millersburg and Virginia Croskey of Falls Church, Va.; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nices ans nephews.
She was precededin death by brothers, William Paul, Theodore, John and Oscar; son-in-law, Arlie Croskey and James Sheely; and a great-grandson, Ryan Schonauer.
