Mrs. Flora Belle Chitwood.
Mrs. Flora Belle CHITWOOD, 73, a Gold Star mother, died Wednesday at her home Route 4.
She was born December 14, 1865, in Hamilton County, Indiana, and moved two years later with her parents to Jefferson County, Kansas.
She moved to Topeka in 1886 and had been a resident here since that time. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Grace THIELE, Mt. Princeton, Hot Springs, Colo.; one grandson, Charles CHITWOOD of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie ROWE, California and Mrs. Kate SPAW of Meriden; two brothers, Charles BAKER, Williamstown and George BAKER of Topeka and three great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to Penwell's Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements.
