Willie Clarence Alford, Jr. was born December 31, 1952, in Belle Glade, Florida, to the late Willie Maude Alford and Clarence Alford Junior.

He was educated in Palm Beach County School District. Willie later moved to Trenton, New Jersey where he remained a resident for the past 57 years.

He was previously employed at Trenton Times Newspaper. He was also a member of Word Alive Center (formerly Word to the World Ministries) in Trenton, New Jersey.

Willie loved singing, dance, going out, riding around with the family, and going out to eat. He was a man of class and loved to dress up and look sharp. To know him was to love him, even with him always talking slick to someone. He was a fan on Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

At the glorious age of 70, Willie's earthly life came to a close for an exchange for eternal rest on April 6, 2023, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, New Jersey. Although he is no longer here on earth, his memories will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him greatly.

In addition to his parents, Willie was predeceased by his son, Ronnie Parker; two brothers, Jerome Alford and John Alford; a sister, Geraldine Dixon; his in-laws, Dorothy Robertson and Clinton Hodges; one brother-in-law, Clinton "Roy" Hodges; and a sister-in-law, Annie Pearle Hodges.

He is survived by his wife, Althea Parker Alford; his children: Willie Parker, Jr., Albee Parker, Tara Goldware,Tonyel Leonard,Tymire Alford, and Shaquana McClendon; three stepchildren: Marrielle Rambough, Rayshawn Rambough, and Jaquan Rambough; 15 grandchildren: Shakur, Rajan, Brooklyn, Jamar, Brian, Blessyn, Miracle, Ruben, Shannon, Quashawn, Rakeem, Mason, Mar(Itray, Fantasia, Ta'niyah, Laquanda, Jaquel; and 14 great g,randchildren; seven siblings: Eddie Alford, Louise Alford, Lavern Alford, Jeanne Gbassagee, Oscar Alford, Albert Alford, and Paul Alford; nine brothers and sisters-in-law: Jennifer Robinson, Jerome Robinson, Lillian Carter, Miami Hodges, Michelle Hodges, Dewayne Hodges, Clarence Hodges, Clifton Hodges, and Norman Hodges; two close friends, Kenny Bullock and Pop Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Word to the World Ministry, 29 W. Front St, Trenton, NJ 08608…. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
