To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die… Yesterday afternoon was my mother's time to leave us here on earth and pass through the gates of heaven into her eternal life. As a Nurse for over twenty-five years, she touched the lives of many people. Her last generous gift was an anatomical donation to the McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas so that future doctors may enhance their learning experience. As her son, I am grateful for the hospice care that she received in the last few months of her life that provided additional comfort and care.
