Her actual date or place of death. She was last known to be in Cass county 1900 census residing with her son in law Isaac Newton Tanner Sr and her seven grandchildren.
She was the daughter of James M Berry born in Weakley county TN around 1813. Both of her parents died before she was 10 and on the 19th of Feb 1862 she married Trenton Elmore Samuel in Shreveport (1817 VA-1880) buried in Monterey Cemetery in Marion county, Texas. They had one daughter Lillian E Samuel born in Caddo parish in 1868 died 1900 and a son G. D. Samuel in 1869 who died before 1880. Her daughter, Lillian, son in law and some of her grandchildren are buried in this cemetery so that is why I have taken the liberty to place her name here. She married Howell Willis in Caddo Parish in 1882 and a Jas McConnell in 1887 in Caddo Parish. That is the surname she used in 1900 census.

Her surviving grandchildren were Annie B Tanner born 1885, Henry Trenton Tanner born 1887, Lillian Tanner Daniels born 1890, Bessie Tanner Waldorf born in 1893, Viola Tanner born in 1894, Fannie M Tanner born 1897 and Isaac Newton Tanner Jr 25 Dec 1899- 1937. He was 7 weeks old when his mother died.
