He was the beloved husband of 56 years of Nancy E. Grancey, loving father of Christa J. Wakayama of Safety Harbor, Florida and Sherry A. Grancey, of Charlestown & Martha's Vineyard. He is survived by his only grandchild, Evan Wakayama.
Bill was a war veteran, serving his country in WWII as a member of the Army Air Corps. A graduate of Penn State and an avid football fan, Bill ran a successful heating oil business for 20 years in Acton. He and Nancy retired to Cape Cod where he became a well known watercolorist and his paintings were shown in many galleries. Bill loved the ocean, his dog, listening to local jazz musicians & playing the stock market.
Burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Mac Arthur Blvd., Bourne.
