Judy Kay Bratton Blanton June 30, 1956 - July 29, 2023
Judy Kay Bratton Blanton, 67, of 2219 Old Georgia Highway, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Virgil Dean Blanton and daughter of the late Howard Baxter Bratton and Vivian Willard Bratton.
She retired from Freightliner Chassis and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Boot Burgess of Gaffney; two brothers, Howard Lee Bratton (Mary Ann) and Gene Bratton (Kim), both of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Xander Buccheri and Lorelie Grace Buccheri.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Dean Bratton and his wife, Judy, and two nieces, Crystal Gaskin and Angela Bratton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mickey Mullinax and Reverend Eddie Hardin officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Rose Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1197, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
