OLYMPIA - An Aberdeen resident for 23 years, Donald Walton Brown, 72, of Malone, died at St Peter's Hospital Thursday Oct- 22,1998. He was born to John 0. and Ethel M. (Maloy) Brown in Walton County Fla. on Feb. 4,1926. He was raised in Florida, and on June 22, 1946, he was married to Vivian Ward at Geneva, Ala. She survives him at Malone.
Brown later lived in Aberdeen from 1950 to 1973 and worked there for a laborer's union on projects including road construction and the Satsop Nuclear Site. He later worked at the Malone Saw Mill until his retirement in 1984.
Brown loved to hunt, fish and work in his garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Windell L of Malone; three daughters, Geraldine M. of Elma and Donna F Cozad and Margaret A. Nordahl, both of Malone; a brother, Lloyd L. of Longwood, Fla.; a sister, Mertie A. of Calhan, Cob.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Two brothers, Cecil H. and Joel C., died before him.
A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Monday Oct. 26., at the Masonic Cemetery at Elma. Donations are suggested to the American Heart Fund, P0. Box 720, Aberdeen.
