Patrick Keith Lemoine, 80, of Central, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Pat was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was born in 1942 in Simmesport, Louisiana, the youngest of five children. He worked as a machine operator at Crown Zellerbach paper mill for 40 years and served as vice president of the paper mill workers union for 25 years. His commitment to increasing worker salaries, enhancing benefits, and improving working conditions at the mill were appreciated by many.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his children, Kevin Patrick Lemoine and Kimberly Ann Badinger; his grandson, Carson Blaise Badinger; his devoted cousin, Myrna LaBorde Edwards; his close friends, Dan and Red McNamara; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kameron Cade Badinger; his parents, Rushin and Eunice Lemoine; his brother, Jules Lemoine; and his sisters, Alice Lover Dee Neal, Aline Flora Carnavale, and Doris L. King. Visitation will be held at Resthaven funeral home at 11817 Jefferson Highway on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 10a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. We will miss him terribly, but we celebrate his reunion with those that have gone before him to be with our Heavenly Father.
