Fenny was the daughter of Lawrence "Garland" Jackson and Louise Carter. She was raised in Passaic, New Jersey by Andrew "Prince" Smith and Geneva "Eva" Smith. She was educated in the Passaic County School System and was a Class of 1978 graduate of Passaic High School in Passaic, New Jersey. She was employed in the Health/Medical field as a Medical Biller. She enjoyed decorating, interior design and reorganizing homes. She relocated to North Carolina in 2020.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Brenda Harrell, 5 brothers, Kelvin "Sharif" Alexander, Larry Smith, Johnny Smith, Leroy "Ceroy" Harrell and Alvin Harrell, paternal grandmother, Etta Mae Jackson, 1 aunt, Anna Darden and 1 brother-in-law, Lanuary Headley.
