Albert Lee Taylor, age 74, passed away July 31, 2023, in Mound MN.
Born December 14, 1948, to Walter L and Dorothy M Taylor of Minneapolis MN.
Al was very proud to be a Vietnam Navy veteran and wore that honor proudly. Al was an employee of the Star Tribune for 39 years, He was very active in Patrick Henry girl's fast pitch softball for a time and coached many others as adults. Al enjoyed fishing and spent many trips with his friends reeling 'em in. He was an avid bowler for many years and sported two 300 rings. Since retirement, he spent many hours sitting on the dock catching pan fish which he brought home for his wife to clean, but supervised the cooking of same so they were done to his perfection. Everyone who knew Al would agree that he was an amazing man and will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by Joy, his wife of 53 years, daughters Kathleen and Angela (Cameron); grandchildren Daryan, Cassidy (Thomas), Tia (Kody), Jordyn; great-grandchildren Aiden, Owen, Nora, Taelyn and two more great grands on the way, two four-legged kids (Honey and Lucky) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judith Mennis, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
