Alan Matthew Joyner, 35, passed away July 26, 2023. He was born in Franklin, VA the son of Harry L. Joyner, III and Linda M. Joyner. Alan graduated from Lakeland High School and Chowan University. Following in his family footsteps he was the biggest St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan and Arizona Cardinals Football Fan. He could most often be found singing and playing songs on his guitar from his favorite bands Green Day, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. Alan loved his daughters and spending time with his family especially his twin sister, Amy.

In addition to his parents, Alan is survived by his daughters, Ainslee Grace Joyner and Sophie Naomi Joyner; twin sister, Amy Joyner; girlfriend, Jessica Sprouse; siblings, John Joyner (Jessica), Susan Schoer (Josh), Mark Joyner (Maria), Michael Joyner (Sarae), Amanda Conroy (Billy), Jennifer Widmayer (Scott); numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be private with burial at Holly Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
