Mrs. TINNY WALKER, 85, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. L. REECE at 6 Front Street, Saxon, at 12:50 a.m. Thursday after a long illness. She was a native of Polk County, NC and the widow of the late ULYSSES GRANT WALKER. Surviving are five daughter, Mrs. REECE, Mrs. W. H. RICKMAN of Bear Walla, NC, Mrs. S. T. GREGORY, Mrs. L. G. BISHOP, Mrs. RALPH STEADING, all of Spartanburg; two sons, W. W. and E. R. WALKER, both of Spartanburg; two brothers, MONROE and CALDWELL JACKSON, both of Hendersonville, NC; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cannon Camp Ground Church by the Revs. VERNON McABEE, W. D. TOUCHBERRY and RALPH KANEY. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. GREGORY, 44 Mill St. Powell Mill. It will be taken to the church Saturday at 1 p.m. J. F. Floyd Mortuary.
