KAZOO PASTOR PASSES AWAY
Rev. C. W. Alldridge Was Pastor of Church of Christ for 35 Years.
Rev. Clement Wood Alldridge, for upwards of 35 years a minister in the Church of Christ and for several years an evangelist, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at his home, 422 Jasper street. Mr. Alidridge was taken sick about 11 o'clock Saturday morning, and grew rapidly worse until death came a few hours later. The attack is believed to have been apoplexy.
Mr. AIldrIdge was born January 24, 1854. Early in life he accepted the Christian faith and from that time was a zealous worker in the church. His early pastorates were in Kansas and North Carolina. During his later career as an evangelist. Mr. Alldridge is said to have baptized more than 1.000 converts. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Cornelia Alldridge, a daughter, Mrs. Golda Southall of Cuba, and two sons, Clement, who is now in Kansas, and Russell of this. city.
The body has been taken to Harrington’s chapel. 202 East South street. Announcement of funeral will be made later. Kalamazoo Gazette January 11, 1920 page 1
