Virgil C. Hartman
Camden- Virgil C Hartman, 70, Rt. 1, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo.
He was born March 9, 1918, in Indianapolis to Charles and Daisy Kinley Hartman. He was married April 6, 1937, in Indianapolis to Naomi R Dawes, who survives.
He lived in Indianapolis until 1951, when he moved to California. He moved to Camden in May.
He was a self-employed mold maker, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 790, West Covina, Calif., and the Eagles Lodge, Kokomo.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Also surviving are two sons, Fred, Rt. 1, Camden, and Virgil Jr., La Verne, Calif.; four daughters, Jacquelyn Portia Hartman, Temple City, Calif., Marjorie L. McCulla, Bakersfield, Calif., Roberta Mae Bobeng, Rialto, Calif., and Krista J Spargo, Covina, Calif.; a brother Fred, Indianapolis; a sister, Katheryn; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
An infant son preceded in death.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills, Calif.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in Sullivan Funeral Home.
