Ray graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1966. He was a member of FHA, and a coach assistant in football sports. Shortly after graduation, he joined the New Mexico-Carlsbad National Guard/Army Reserve and was a member for 23 years. He traveled overseas while with the Reserve, to places like Egypt, Korea, and Japan. Ray loved to cook and bake cakes which he would share with family and friends. Ray's profession was a CDL Truck driver.
He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoyed fishing with his son and was a member of the American Legion. Ray enjoyed watching television; his favorites were always western movies. We will miss him so much and we'll miss his visits and always turning the channel to a western movie.
Rest in Peace Brother, with Mom and Sis' Berdie. We love you. You will be missed. You are in our hearts forever.
