Aged Resident Succumbed to Injuries
Received in Fall

Mrs. Jane Kernan Patten, wife of the late Sherburn W. Patten, died at her home , 13? Mary street about 10:30 o'clock last night, following a several months confinement in bed with hip injuries received in a fall over a year ago. Death was due to the injuries received at that time , and super induced doubtless by advanced age. She was in her ninety-first year.
The deceased was born July 31, 1820, in the town of Wayne , Steuben County, and more than half a century ago came to this county to live. For about 40 years she resided in Whitestown coming to this city about ?? years ago . She was one of the oldest residents of this city and highly respected .
She leaves two sons Harry S. Patten of Whitesboro and Edward K. Patten of this city , and one daughter , Rose Patten of Utica. A sister Miss Alice Kernan , and a brother, William Kernan , both of this city , also survives as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren .
