Diana's greatest love was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a generous woman and always made everyone feel at home. Diana enjoyed bowling and woodworking. She and her husband traveled frequently to the casinos in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She especially liked playing the slot and poker machines. Christmas was always a special time for Diana. She would decorate every room in the house and there would always be a mountain of gifts under the tree. Diana was an avid Michigan fan and even had season tickets at one time.
Diana is survived by her husband, Gerald M. Charles; children, Jerry (Kathy) Charles, Julie (Bob) Rice, Carrilyn Powell, Lisa (Kevin) Johnson, Denise (Jon) Cook, and David (Stephanie) Charles; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Family and Friends may visit Friday, August 11, 2023, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. The Funeral Service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Diana will be laid to rest in Toledo Memorial Park.
