Willie James Pickett 72, passed Tuesday May 3 at JFK Medical Center in Edison NJ. He resided in Edison for 18 years formerly of Irvington. Mr. Pickett worked in construction 27 years. He left construction and became a Black Seal Boiler Operator employed by the Irvington Housing Authority until he retired in 2009. He was predeceased by his brother the late Wilson Pickett and sisters Valerie and Linda. Mr. Pickett leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 23 years Margaret, his children Darryl, Barrett, Maurice, Roslyn and Amelia (Alvin Kinard, 2 brothers Hezekiah and Maxwell, 7 sisters Bertha, Katherine, Emily Jean (Sylvester) Louella (Emmett) Lillie, Vanessa and Audrey , step-mother Helen Pickett, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
