M. Louise Longenecker, 97, of St. Anne's Home, Columbia, formerly of 402 N. Duke St., died Monday at the home of natural causes. She was the wife of Chauncey W. Longenecker, who died in 1948. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence Norbeck Smith. She retired from Longenecker Pharmacy at Duke and Lemon streets, a business her family has owned and operated since 1940. She was an honorary member of Soroptimist International of Lancaster. Additionally, she was a member of the Lancaster County Mental Health Association and chaired a committee that served dinners to the group's clients. A 1916 graduate of the former Stevens Girls' School, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Bette Lu, wife of Alan Forsythe, of Malvern; two sons, John R. and James K., both of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
