William A. Tison was the son of Wiley and Mariah Roberts Tison.He served in the 2nd Regiment, of the Florida Calvary in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. He married Tabitha McDonald abt. 1873. In the 1900 Census of Wellborn, Suwannee, Florida he is listed as 55 and his occupation is a Methodist Minister. His wife, Tabitha is 43 b. Apr 1857. The census shows that they have been married 27 yrs and that she has had 8 children and 5 are still living in 1900. The children in the household are Charlie A. age 23 b. Sep 1876, William E. age 21 b. Jun 1878, Mamie P. age 12 b. Mar 1888, and Mattie S. age 6 b. Apr 1894.
