George E. Ibberson, 58, of North Street, Lykens died Wednesday, June 13, 1979 near Elizabethville while returning from a visit to a doctor in Harrisburg.

He was born in Lykens the son of the late George and Sarah Watkeys Ibberson.

George was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, Lykens having been a Mail Carrier for many years.

George was a member of the American Legion Post 124.

Surviving are his wife: Melva Louise Ibberson; his sisters: Elizabeth Shadle of Lykens and Lorraine Symons of Harrisburg; and his brothers: Robert of Elizabethtown and James of Poughkeepsie, New York.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family from the John M. Shultz Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald R. Jacobs, Pastor of St. Christopher Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Entombment will be in Calvary United Methodist Mausoleum, Wiconisco.
