Marx was a WWII veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service during the stand of the 7th Armored Division at St. Vith, Belgium, December, 1944. Marx was also awarded the Purple Heart for injuries suffered in Korea on September 28, 1950. Marx grew up in Florence, CO, residing at 210 Marble Ave. Marx had three marriages, the first two of which ended in divorce. He had children by his second wife. His third marriage lasted the longest.
