JEROME - Cecil Lee Hyde, 72, of Jerome, died Tuesday, March 3, at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center.

Born May 21, 1914, in Jessup, Iowa, he was reared and educated in Iowa and moved to Twin Falls in 1940. He married Ida Nona Dayley in Twin Falls February 26, 1940. He lived in Star for several years before moving to Jerome in 1945 where he had resided since. He farmed and worked as a mechanic, then worked for the City of Jerome in the Parks Department for a couple of years. From 1962 until retiring, he owned and operated Northside Wrecking Co.

Surviving are: his wife of Jerome; 6 sons, Jim of Twin Falls, Bob of Jerome, Raymond of Safford, Ariz., William of Idaho Falls, Gary of Mesa, Ariz., and John of Boise; 5 daughters, Mae LaVelle, address unknown, Patricia Hyde and Helen Pohlman, both of Twin Falls, Gloria John of Shoshone, and Carol Shobe of Boise; 2 sisters, Vaun Littleton of Rupert and Pearl Pullen of Macedonia, Iowa; and 26 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Jerome Cemetery with Father Simeon VanDeVoord O.S.B. officiating.

Friends may call at the Hove-Robertson Funeral Chapel today from 3 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., and may gather at the cemetery shortly before the time of service.
