TWIN FALLS - Nona I. Hyde, 69, of Twin Falls, died Tuesday, June 9, 1992, at her home.

She was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Rigby, the daughter of Lon and Lora Call Dayley. She attended schools in Oakley, Rigby and Twin Falls and married Cecil Lee Hyde on Feb. 26, 1940, in Twin Falls. They lived in Iowa and in Star, Idaho, before moving to Jerome in the early 1940s. Mrs. Hyde was a dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother. She was always eager to go anywhere her family wanted her to go.

She became a very active baseball fan by attending her grandchildren's games and soon became known as Grandma Smurf. All who knew her will miss her in the stands and also in their lives. She has gone now to be with the Lord in whom she dearly believed and with her husband.

Survivors include six sons, Raymond of Sandpoint, Robert and Jim of Twin Falls, Gary of Mesa, Ariz., Billy of Idaho Falls and John of Boise; four daughters, Gloria of Shoshone, Carol of Boise and Helen and Patricia of Twin Falls; 29 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother Floyd Dayley of Twin Falls; and three sisters, Dorothy Swarner of Twin Falls, Eva Ward of Gooding and Loraine Sims of Rexburg. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 3, 1987, her parents and one sister.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at White Mortuary in Twin Falls, with Pastor David Glass officiating. Interment will follow at the Jerome Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Mortuary.
