He was born in Corning, Iowa, on Feb. 1, 1907. Bud was raised in Iowa where at the age of 12 he began working with his father doing construction work.
On Aut. 19, 1927, he was united in marriage to Dora Croston in Grand Island, Neb. They began their family while living in the Midwest, and lived in Idaho prior to moving to Oregon in 1945.
Mr. Hyde worked in building construction until retiring in 1982. His job as supervisor often required him to travel, but he maintained his permanent home in Oregon.
In 1958, they moved to Sandy to live. He enjoyed spending his time working on his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Dora; eight children: Betty Logan in California, Dorothy Forster of Boring; Ellnora Soule of Portland; Beverly Stone in Alaska; Barbara Garber of Sandy, Vernon and Gene Hyde, both in California, and Charles Hyde of Portland; a brother, Cecil Hyde in Idaho; two sisters: Pearl Pullen in Iowa and Vaun Littleton in Idaho; and 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
