Mrs. Myrtle J. Ness, wife of John L. Ness, Bending Road, a former resident of York died today in the Casualty hospital, Washington. D. C., following an illness of several days. She was 42 years old. Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Mrs. John Smith, York R. D. 3, and these brothers and sisters, Willis Shellenberger, Manchester; Mrs. Byrd Markle, York R. D. 3; Mrs. Walter Ness, York; Mrs. William Leland, York R. D. 3; Miss Loretta Shellenberger, York R. D. 3, and Eugene Shellenberger, Loganville.

The funeral of Mrs. Myrtle J. Ness, wife of John L. Ness, who died on Monday at the Casualty hospital, Washington, D. C., was held yesterday afternoon from the Henry Sleeger and Sons Memorial Funeral home, 822 East Market street. Rev. Harold J. Mumper, Washington, officiated. The pallbearers were Roy Poet, Luther Davidson, Harry Rupp, Henry Forry, Fred Hamme and Curvin Ness. Burial was In Mt. Rose cemetery.
