Ruby "Pearl" Turnbow, 93, of East Peoria, died Monday, March 31, 2008 at Washington Christian Village.
She was born April 18, 1914 in Bayle City a daughter of William "Fred" and Grace Elizabeth (Merriman) Nave. She married Charles A. Turnbow July 30, 1932 in Vandalia. He passed away Oct. 30, 1976 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by three sons: Kenneth Lee, Charles George, Jerry Paul, and two brothers: Reuben and Carl Nave.
Survivors include two daughters: Sharon Britton and Earle Hamerstrand of East Peoria, Shirley (David) Myers of Peoria, one daughter-in-law, Caroline Turnbow of East Peoria, one sister, Hazel Rein of Peoria, and one brother, Paul (Violet) Nave of Assumption.
Pearl worked in the Laundry Room at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria for fifteen years retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Methodist Medical Center of Illinois Retirees Club and was a Charter Member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Peoria Heights.
Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery, Chillicothe.
