Services for Chloe McVey, 95, of Fresno, will be held in Belmont Memorial Park. Mrs. McVey was a native of Nebraska and had lived in Fresno 62 years She taught school in Fresno for 29 years before retiring in 1951. She belonged to the California Teachers Association and a national teacher's organization. She was also a PBS member and belonged to the American Association of University Women.
Mrs. McVey's husband, Absalom Curtis McVey, to whom she was married in 1909, died in 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Laureli Lorah and Claire Carskadon; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
