Christina and her children arrived in New York City, NY on Sep 6, 1851 aboard the Galenia: Christin Burkhardt 35, Carl [Christian] 12, Georg 9, C. And. 8, Gottfried 7 and Mathias 5. John also immigrated in 1851, presumably before his family.
John probably died between 1880-1883.
Her will specifically requested that she be buried in the Union Cemetery in her lot. Her will left one dollar each to her sons Christian F. Burkert, J. George Burkert, Gottlieb Burkert, and Matthew Burkert. Most of her estate went to her son Adam Burkert for his kindness and care for her in her old age.
