Lena was the daughter of Rudolph Joerg and Matilda Banhagel. In 1895, she married Meinrad Bucher, Jr. and together they had one daughter, Elizabeth (Lillian) . After the death of her husband, she married Andrew Seibert. She resided most of her life in New York City and then her later years in Little Ferry, New Jersey.
