With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Chetwood (Nee Woliung), 75 of Batavia, Ohio, who departed this life on August 10, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of care, passion, and resilience.

Born on September 12, 1947, Linda's journey through life was marked by her dedication to the medical field. As a Registered Nurse, Firefighter and later a Paramedic, she offered comfort and healing to many in their moments of vulnerability. Beyond her professional pursuits, Linda had a profound connection with animals. Her love of horses, especially Paso Finos, was evident in the grace and ardor with which she showed them in competition. Her expertise also extended to dog breeding, having bred distinctive dogs like Jack Russell terriers and Rhodesian Ridgebacks, bringing joy to countless homes.

Linda's private nature was a facet of her intricate personality. Those close to her were privileged to know her introspective side.

She is survived by sisters, Martha Woliung (the late David Freedman) and Laurie Woliung (Daniel Rothfeld), and nieces Gabrielle Pechiney (Samuel M. Cartner), Harley & Cody Rothfeld, and great-nephew Samuel W. Cartner. Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband Blaine M. Chetwood, and her parents Dr. Robert W. and Ruthann Woliung (Nee Korb).

In lieu of a formal funeral, the family requests that those wishing to honor Linda's memory make donations to either the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 91891, Washington DC, 20090. www.nationalmssociety.org, or The Maui Relief Fund mauiunitedway.org/disasterrelief.

In remembrance of Linda, let us honor the duality of her life – the deep introspection and the fierce passions that defined her remarkable journey.
